Brief:

Usually the same thing... "How do I know what I want until I see it?"

A website is usually a work in progress so most initial briefs don't have much bearing on the final product.

Thinking:

I always try and keep my sites fast loading and broadly compatible. Mostly done in HTML keeping text as searchable text rather than as pictures. If I use Flash as an animation, I limit it to small elements rather than base the entire site on it so it's not too graphics heavy, slow to load and reliant on 3rd party plug-ins to view.

This also means you're not locked into using me for the rest of your website's life. If your site needs updating and you've got a friend of a friend who's teenage son can "do websites" and you'd rather use him for the cost of the latest Playboy magazine, you can.
